Why are people too chicken to own there own business?

Opportunity can be staring them dead in the face, but they will not take that step because people chicken out. Network marketing is an excellent way to get rich because there is RESIDUAL INCOME. (money that you make whether you work or not!!!)

Probably don’t want to take the risks involved in owning their own business.

Not everybody wants to run a business. Personally, I think it would be a pain in the backside; I see too many people who have their own businesses who do nothing but work, and life is just too short for that. Better to make less money and have a LIFE, in my opinion.

Network marketing is not as easy as you make it seem. Plenty of people trying MLM and most fail because they do not get in early enough.
Now in general, people don’t start their own businesses for lots of reasons. They don’t have the capital, or the financial reserves is probably the biggest. They have a secure job already. They don’t want the long hours or hassles of being a business owner, etc.
For me, it’s always been lack of a great idea or lack of expertise to implement a great idea.

There are many reasons why people don’t start their own business.
1) you work many hours for very little pay,
2) some people don’t want to take a whole bunch of risks,
3) some people would rather be followers than leaders and the followers don’t start their own businesses,
4) its really cumbersome to start your own business–not only are you doing what your company does, you are also doing the quarterly taxes, the IRS forms, the bookkeeping etc.
5) starting your own business and keeping it going is real hard in that statistically the business you have started will go broke in 1-4 years.

I think your answer is right here in all the negative reasons people have mentioned. None with any weight to them whatsoever, other than, not everyone is a leader. That one is true. The other negative reasons you see here, are spoken by people who are likely just over broke.
Things like tax reasons, the way I see it, if you have to fill out extra tax forms, it’s a sure sign that you are making money.
You have to realize that many people have no idea what residual income is, how you get it, or what the benefits are. If you have never ventured into your own business, these words mean nothing.
The biggest reason people turn down an opportunity that is staring at them is their mindset. They don’t have a millionaire mindset and allow fear to stop them from ever getting ahead. Many people just aren’t prepared to leave their comfort zone to get what they really want, deep inside. So they settle for the 45 year plan, where you start working at 20, put in 45 years making other people rich through their efforts, live paycheck to paycheck and retire hoping the government will give them enough pension to survive. Unfortunately that is too common.
If people don’t have a burning desire to get ahead, they won’t. Simple. So, you have to learn not to become frustrated by all the “no’s” and understand that each no gets you one step closer to a “yes”. Make up your mind that you are only looking for serious business partners, and go about finding them. Believe me, they’re out there! The ones who are afraid to take the plunge, you don’t really want on your team. Once you’ve explained that they can continue working while building their business, and they still hesitate, just politely explain to them that they are not who you are looking for, thank for their time and hang up. Go on to the next one. You will find that your business grows far quicker that way.
Best of luck to you!
